In the life of the spiritual man, there are days and periods when he feels emptiness, weakness of the soul. Something is missing and he feels that he has missed out something inside of himself, and he does not know how to come to himself, how to regain the initial strength and grace that the soul possessed. He does not know how to regain the fullness he has lost. In such a case, the holy Fathers teach us: “Renew the prayer; start praying again – with your lips, with your mind or with your heart – and that lost fullness will come back to you. Man can find it again, it’s just enough to force himself to prayer.”
