One can always be silent, one can preach nothing, one can have no eloquence—and at the same time deeply and powerfully influence the hearts of people. If people silently, not knowing how to preach, show goodness and humility of spirit, the power of faith, love in their deeds, they will smell like a rose. After all, the rose is silent, and its fragrance spreads far, far away. So it is necessary that the fragrance of Christ spread from all of us, the fragrance of our deeds—good, pure, righteous, full of love. Only in this will the Kingdom of God be revealed, which is within us, not in word, but in power.
