The one who really loves the Lord, who has made a real effort to find the coming Kingdom …. the one who truly regrets his sins and remembers the anguish and eternal judgment, the one who seriously fears the thought of his death …. will not love, care or worry about possessions, money or the glory of this world, parents, friends, brothers or anything at all on earth. Ceasing to take care of it completely, hating any thought of it, even his own body, free from all that, carefree, he courageously follows Christ and constantly looks at the sky, waiting for help, in the words of the Holy psalmist: “My soul clings to you” (Ps. 62:9).
